Yankee Scientific: The Practice of Ingenuity

Yankee has built instrumentation, equipment and appliances that range from early concept demonstrators to limited production runs. Often our prototypes are intended to showcase a new technical innovation or to be a product development tool for the client organization.

We have built dozens of systems that push the envelope of current technology. Our fabricated systems have ranged from self-powered furnaces and boilers to scroll and reciprocating engines to complete skid mounted Q/A test stations for a manufacturer’s boiler production line.

Using state of the art machine shops and sheet metal fabricators we obtain the sub-components. We validate conformance to specification using our precision measurement facilities. Custom circuit boards and microprocessor firmware are routinely developed for our equipment.

Yankee's prototype laboratory produces parts and modifies components for our prototype equipment. In addition to our traditional metal working tools, Yankee has on-site welding capabilities and utilizes our Markforged Onyx One 3D printer to produce intricate custom components.

Assembly and testing are done in Yankee's prototype laboratory.
